Capital Campaign

The official start of St. Luke’s major fundraising was on October 1, 2002. This five year program is designed to obtain donations in support of the “Opening New Doors campaign.

The campaign will serve to:

(1) modernize the facility at St. Luke-North Canton,

(2) establish St Luke's presence by constructing a new Continuing Care Retirement Community at St. Luke-Massillon,

(3) provide additional funds to the St. Luke Foundation for residents needing financial assistance.

St. Luke’s goal is to raise a total of $2,500,000 in charitable gifts.  $1,000,000 is needed for St. Luke-North Canton, $1,000,000 for St. Luke-Massillon and $500,000 for the St. Luke Foundation.  St. Luke invites you to join others as we “Open New Doors” to enhance this ministry by investing in an effort which will serve senior adult relatives and friends.

In North Canton

St. Luke desires to remain the "home of choice" for senior care in the general North Canton area.  It will “Open New Doors” through a multi-phased “modernization” plan that will help meet the desires of this generation of residents and the next. Additional private rooms will serve to meet the anticipated demands and needs for the next 10-20 years.

In Massillon

Towne CenterSt. Luke plans to build a functional, "state-of-the-art" senior care campus where residents can walk on shaded paths, tend gardens, entertain friends and walk to church. This newest continuing care retirement community will include skilled care, assisted living and senior independent housing.

Phase I of the project is the Waterford at Massillon, the senior independent houses. Three floor plans, ranging in size from 865 sq. ft. to 1390 sq. ft., have been designed. The duplexed homes will have many features and options all to make the units as efficient and maintenance free as possible.

The addition of the assisted living and nursing complex will follow after Phase I is underway.

St. Luke Foundation

The St. Luke Foundation will continue to support residents who need financial assistance, facilitate the development of new projects and provide for special needs at St. Luke. This capital campaign will serve as the first phase of growing the Foundation's assets to eventually reach a $5,000,000 endowment.
